I will examine the evidence that resistance is already impacting on our ability to prevent and treat malaria, look at some of the road blocks to assessing this and bringing new products to market that could allow us to manage resistance and demonstrate with a new RCT model embedded directly into a national malaria control programme how we might in future evaluate new interventions in a more timely manner.
