Since 1900, roughly half of all countries in the world have eliminated malaria. This process of “Shrinking the Malaria Map” continues apace. Sir Richard will summarize this progress with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region. He will then discuss the prospects and challenges for achieving a malaria-free Asia Pacific by 2030, and subsequently a malaria-free world.
