Alyssa Barry 1
  1. Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Parkville, Victoria, Australia

A/Prof Alyssa Barry has worked with malaria endemic country partners in the Asia Pacific and Africa for the past 18 years. In particular, a strong partnership with the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research has been central to the success of her research program. Alyssa has conducted training workshops in-country and hosted numerous malaria endemic country scientists in her laboratory. She views capacity building as critical to focusing on research questions important to countries, for translation of research discoveries and for sustained progress towards malaria elimination. Alyssa will talk about the FIT2 experience in context with her research and future plans.
