Eva Hesping First Malaria World Congress 2018

Eva Hesping

Eva Hesping received her Bachelor of Science and the Master of Science in Biochemistry from the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf (Germany) in 2014 and 2017, respectively. During her Master, she joined the Tropical Parasitology Laboratory at the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery in Brisbane (Australia) for a student visitor internship which was the occasion for Eva Hesping to start her PhD in April 2017 in Kathy Andrew's lab. Her professional interests focus on both parts of drug discovery, the chemist and biological part so that her current PhD project includes the investigation of malaria parasite proteins (HDACs) as drug targets and chemical synthesis of potential drugs leads against those targets.
