Qi Gao
Professor Gao Qi (MD/PHD) has been Member of WHO Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC). He has served on the Global Fund Technical Review Panel for malaria and co-chair of the Surveillance and Response Working Group of Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN)
Professor Gao Qi is chair of the National Malaria Expert Committee and co-chair of National Severe Malaria Diagnosis & Treatment Expert Committee in China. He is also adviser of WHO Collaborative Centre for Research and Training on Malaria Elimination, Senior Professor at the Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases as well as Professor at Suzhou University.
Professor Gao Qi was Director of the Jiangsu Institute of Parasitic Diseases and Director of the National Key Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases of the Ministry of Health of China from 2005 to 2013. He was the Chair of the DDT Expert Group of the Stockholm Convention at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Chair of APMEN Advisory Board Committee.
Professor Gao Qi has worked on both malaria research and field control since 1983, and has wide experience on malaria control and elimination at sub-national, national and international levels.
