Katherine O'Flaherty
Katherine is a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is a member of the Malaria and Infectious Disease Epidemiology group, Burnet Institute. Her research explores the role of immunity in the epidemiology of sub-clinical and drug resistant P. falciparum in South-East Asia, as well as the use of serosurveillance to identify high risk populations in malaria pre-elimination settings. Her research interests also include the role of host factors in anti-malarial treatment efficacy and longevity of asymptomatic infection.
