Chris J Parkinson First Malaria World Congress 2018

Chris J Parkinson

I am originally from Sydney, NSW, completing doctoral studies at the University of Sydney before leaving Australia. This initially involved a research fellowship at Colorado State University (coincidentally also CSU), followed by a move to Imperial College, London before becoming involved in the African generics industry at African Explosives and Chemical Industries (AECI). My group was acquired by the CSIR becomming the centre of small molecule drug discovery activities in South Africa. I recently moved to Charles Sturt University, Orange. Research interests include: determination of early signs of drug action, new antimalarial agents, antitubercular agents, oxidative stress as a therapeutic intervention against cancer.
