Lenore Manderson

Lenore Manderson is Distinguished Professor of Public Health and Medical Anthropology with the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and Distinguished Visiting Professor of Environmental Studies at Brown University, USA. She was previously an inaugural Australian Research Council Federation Fellow and Professor of Medical Anthropology at Monash University, Australia (2006-2013), and before then, Professor of Tropical Health (University of Queensland, 1988-1998) and Professor of Women’s Health (University of Melbourne, 1999-2005). She has worked with TDR on a continuing basis as an advisor and member of scientific working committees since 1988.
